 We are raising funds for the upkeep of our beautiful church and are opening gardens around the village of Hannington. This weekend the 13th /14th June.from 11am to 5pm. There are also plants, books, crafts and garden produce for sale plus a felt making demo in the village hall. The 'Jolly Tar' pub is open all day both on both days, and Teas are served all day at Wyndward. Hannington is situated North of the county with the river Thames as our border with Gloucestershire, turn off by the Freke Arms on the B4019 Blunsdon/ Highworth road.

 We are currently collecting unwanted musical instruments for schools in Gambia.

| Bowood Dog Show and Summer Fair is a fun day out for all the family. The 2008 show had over 10,000 visitors and raised just under £44,000 for charity and this year we are again raising money for Macmillan Cancer and Local Charities. This year we have some fantastic new attractions including the Canine Corner where for the first time ever we will have an area of the showground dedicated entirely to dogs! We also have attractions such as Donkey rides, mini 4x4s, climbing wall, falconry displays, fairground rides, children’s entertainers, live music, ferret racing, shopping village, licensed bar, speciality food stands, fun dog scurry, newfoundland water dogs display, sheep dog display, face painting, morris dancers, harness goats, cotswold pheasant & poultry club, chrissie’s owls, beagles, good citizens award, long bow archery, and laser clay shooting. Renowned artist Tom Walker is bringing his 'Snooker In The Frame' exhibition to Salisbury's Trinity Studios.

Well, it's back!
In 2007, OTTC took the Arts Centre stage by storm, with its first venture into the world of triple bill sitcom, adapted for the stage. Back then, Dad's Army, Fawlty Towers and Han*censored*'s Half Hour had the audiences rolling in the aisles!
This time round, we're ringing the changes with some more of classic British Sitcoms, adapted for the Swindon stage!
Blackadder
The second chapter of the historical sitcom transports us to Elizabethan England and to a particularly cunning member of the Queen's court, a certain Edmund, bastard great-great grandson of the Blackadder of season 1.
But while the two may be related, this Blackadder turns out to be an altogether different beast, making up for what he lacks in royal lineage and incompetence with a biting wit, greed and cowardly cunning.

Only Fools and Horses
Voted by BBC viewers as the best sitcom of all time, we'll be bringing you the comic tales of Del Boy and Rodders. Derek Trotter, or Del Boy, is a loveable *censored*ney rogue and wheeler dealer. He spent the 1980s and early 1990s slaving away in the Peckham badlands with his market stall creaking under the weight of dodgy gear.
Rodders, as he is affectionately known by his big brother, has stuck by Del through thick and thin. After leaving school with two GCEs in Art and Maths, he was expelled from Art College for dabbling with the dreaded weed. Without much going for him Rodney managed to rise to the heady heights of Financial Director of Trotters Independent Traders.

Yes Minister
A bedrock programme in the UK comedy structure, Yes Minister embodied the early 1980s attitude to authority and politics as a gently hypocritical world filled with doubletalk.
The series followed Right Honorable James Hacker MP, Minister for Administrative Affairs, and his attempts to make officialdom and administration make sense. He did this whilst pushing his own self-serving agenda, and keeping his head above any nasty political waters. Throughout his career, he was up against Whitehall's Sir Humphrey Appleby, unflappable symbol of a machine that has no gears, only brakes.
Three series were made between 1980 and 1984, before Jim Hacker achieved real power in Yes Prime Minister.

On Monday 26th January 2009, The Manor House Hotel, Castle Combe is hosting an open coffee morning between 10am and 1pm to help local and national charity Action Medical Research (Registered Charity No. 208701).
For just £5 per person, payable on booking or on the day, guests are invited to mingle with fellow guests over a steaming hot cupper as well as purchase gifts and products from a hand-picked selection of craft stalls… all against the backdrop of the beautiful 14th Century Manor House. Guests are also invited to bring along items for the ‘bring and buy’ sale with all proceeds going to the charity.
The Manor House Hotel and Action Medical Research’s North Wiltshire Committee hope to raise over £500 which, combined with the entire proceeds of the event will go towards helping children suffering serious illnesses and pre birth difficulties.
