Tiger Moth. the pretty little Tigermoth grass plane. Born in the roaring 20's is a very light aircraft and looking at some of these photos of the Tiger Moth, can obviously be run on 'pedal power'. Designed by the De Havilland brothers as a cheap easy plane to fly and maintain, yet has the equivalent of 130 horses to power its flight. The Tiger Moth seems to take off from an incredibly slow speed! The back wheel was off the ground after what seemed like 20 yards. Once the back wheel comes off the grass, you can clearly see where you are going, before that its all a bit hit or hopefully miss as the plane zigzags around the field giving the pilot vision ahead!
